Identity and Divorce

I recently found the article below, though it was published in 2015.  The focus is identity and trauma after divorce.  This is an important piece since identity crisis is a common experience people have as a result of divorce.  We all have ways of thinking about ourselves - I am a married person - I am a parent, etc.  Divorce can bring down a central pillar of how we define ourselves.  Healing from divorce therefore can require new ways of self-identifying.  This is a challenge, but also an opportunity as reinvention after divorce can unlock potentials that had heretofore felt unreachable.
